The Tower House, Starborough Manor

The Tower House is half of Starborough Manor, a Georgian family home set on the boarder of Kent and Surrey. The house is at the end of a long drive and overlooks Starborough Castle and moat. An ideal base for friends and family gatherings and quiet getaways. Hever Castle and Penshurst Place are a short drive and Lingfield Racecourse is 5 minutes away. Starborough Manor is 25 minutes from Gatwick airport, 20 minutes from the M25 and 50 minutes to London Victoria by train. Set over 3 floors, the large entrance hall has plenty of space for storing wellies, buggies and bikes. The first floor has a large, light and airy sitting room with a television, board games and toy box. There is a separate fully-equipped kitchen, a dining room and a laundry room with a washing machine, tumble dryer, clothes airer, hoover and W.C. There is a Snug with a double sofa bed and a single bed that can be used as a bedroom, office or playroom. A superking bedroom with ensuite bathroom is also located on the first floor. Bedrooms 2, 3 and 4 are on the second floor. Bedroom 2 is a large Super king room with an ensuite bathroom and plenty of space for a travel cot or folding toddler bed that can be requested when booking. Bedroom 3 can have 3 single beds or a superking and single bed. Bedroom 4 is a lovely double room over looking the Castle and moat. Bedrooms 3 and 4 share a family bathroom. All bedrooms have plenty of storage space and televisions. Linen and towels are provided. A cleaner can be organised at an additional cost. Guests have use of the gardens and tennis court and there is ample parking. A welcome hamper is provided that includes tea, coffee, milk, bread, butter, jam and eggs. Strictly no parties. The closest supermarkets are in Lingfield and Edenbridge both less than 10 minutes away. Historic houses and castles such as Penshurst Place and Hever Castle a short drive. Royal Tunbridge Wells is half an hour away and has beautiful shops, restaurants and bars. Chequer Mead Theatre in East Grinstead is 15 minutes away and has lots of great shows, music events and classes running. Brighton beach is less than an hours drive and there are plenty of great local pubs that serve great food. Lingfield and Edenbridge both have train stations and we can provide phone numbers of local taxi companies if required. There are lots of lovely walks, wellies and walking boots essential for fields!
