Valleröds Gård, Blentarp, in the heart of Skåne
The Annex is a part of a barn that was converted in 2009. It has a cozy, rustic feel with exposed beams and high ceilings. There is a south facing patio area that is a perfect sun trap for barbecues. We have curious Icelandic horses, chickens, 2 cheeky cats and a very friendly Labrador. The farm is located between the villages of Blentarp & Sövde in Sjöbo Kommun, walking distance to a cafe, and on the Skåneleden hiking trail. There is good water pressure for that all important post-hike shower. Cozy, rustic with a wood burning stove. A great base for exploring Skåne. Guests have access to the Annex and the patio area. Guests are welcome to walk around the farm, but please do not go through any closed gates. Valleröds gård is an active equestrian yard. We will be around and about during your stay to answer questions. Whilst you will be staying in the heart of the farm and is also well positioned to remain private. We live in a beautiful region of Skåne, with lakes, castles and forests. You can hike from the farm with direct access to the Blentarp - Snogeholm section of Skåneleden from the farm and lots of Loppis! The village of Blentarp is 1km away with Wahlgrens Bakery and cafe, for sourdough and rye breads, excellent coffee, cakes and lunches. Blentarp has a well stocked grocery store and fuel station. Sövde is 3km in the opposite direction, with its own Musteri and swimming lake. We are located in the middle of Skåne about 30 mins from Lund, 50 mins from Malmö and perfectly positioned to explore Österlän's beaches about 30-60 minutes drive away. Our farm is ideal for those travelling with car, camper, bike or motorbike - or even horseback! The Skåneleden hiking route passes near to the farm. There is a bus from the village which will get you to Lund or Sjöbo and then by train either north or south. Copenhagen is only about 1hr by car or 90 mins from Sjöbo by public transport. Please note that we do not offer tour riding or riding lessons. Whilst we do not have a TV in The Annex, there is Wifi (we now have fibre!) and a bluetooth speaker. Please park in the car-park just after the entrance and only a 30 second walk to the Annex. You are very welcome to greet the horses, but do not go into the fields or feed them. We have bed and box if you would like to bring your horse on holiday.
