A cosy West Coast home that sleeps 6 people with the best of both worlds. A view of the mountain on the one side and ocean on the other. Your home away from home. A nice central spot from where you can explore more of the wonderful West Coast!! Only 90 minutes away from Cape Town. I will be available via phone for any questions/concerns St Helena bay is approximately 150 km North of Cape Town on the West Coast and stretches 18km along the coast between Laingville and Duiker eiland. St. Helena is especially beautiful since wheat fields reach down almost to the water's edge and only a tarmac road runs along the coast providing a boundary line between agriculture and fishing. Furthermore, because of the town's position it is the only town on the West Coast where the sun and the moon rise over the sea. DOLPHIN & WHALE WATCHING:The southern right whales come annually from the Sub-Antarctic regions to calve and mate during the months of June to November. Humpback whales may be sighted during the months of October and November as these animals migrate south from their breeding grounds in tropical West Africa to their feeding grounds in the Antarctic. The bay is also popular for the dolphins; schools of over 1 000 have been sighted at times. The bay also hosts a variety of marine birds, penguins and large colonies of seals. A cosy fire place and extra blankets will make winter months enjoyable and comfortable!
