Delightful cosy country cottage in Ashdown Forest

Spring Farm Cottage offers you a relaxing cosy retreat, with secure gated parking, set in beautiful surroundings in the Ashdown Forest's 6500 acres- an area of outstanding natural beauty with amazing heathland views, endless walks, ideal for nature lovers and bird watchers. The cottage is luxuriously fitted with everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. A welcome pack of semi-skimmed milk (or your choice) juice, various teas, coffee and cereals and snacks will be provided. The cottage is light and airy with a beamed vaulted ceiling and features a lovely old brick fireplace with vintage tools and agricultural implements. The kitchen is well equipped with integral dishwasher and fridge with freezer compartment, oven, hob, microwave, toaster and Dolce Gusto coffee maker. In addition to keys, a remote control for the electric gates is provided. Board games, books, local maps, stationery and magazines are provided and too. All bedding and towels are hotel quality. Guest parking to the front of the cottage and small west facing lawned garden to the side for relaxing with patio chairs and table The owner is normally available during the day for your stay and contactable by phone. Ashdown Forest is a beautiful area at any time of the year, especially in Autumn. It has large areas of heathland, wooded areas with many streams and is a wonderful habitat for unusual birds, butterflies, dormice and deer who come into our fields every night. The Foresters pub is only a 10 minute stroll away and there are many quaint pubs and excellent restaurants in the vicinity which are mentioned in our Visitor's Suggestion Book. Spring Farm Cottage is ideally situated for visiting the south coast resorts and marinas of Brighton, Seaford and Eastbourne, all 30 minutes away. Equally the Spa town of Tunbridge Wells and East Grinstead are 20 minutes away while Crowborough and Uckfield towns are 15 minutes drive. There are many National Trust properties and gardens to visit such as Wakehurst Place, Hever Castle, Penshurst Place, and Glynde and many places of historical interest. Bewl Water near Wadhurst is a great day out for walkers and cyclists with bike hire to ride around the beautiful reservoir (12 miles- 3 hours) We have a suggestion book and leaflets for visitor's information and are happy to suggest and advise.
