This cosy cottage is nestled in the rural, yet busy village of Bellingham. It has lots of amenities on it's doorstep including pubs, cafes, co op shop, post office, chemist, butchers, Chinese takeaway etc. You enter the property from the main road, into the sitting room, which leads to the large kitchen, back porch and downstairs toilet. The two bedrooms are upstairs and across the landing from the bathroom with shower and roll top bath. An ideal home away from home! It is a pet free house and ecological cleaning products are used throughout. Facilities in the kitchen include: Dishwasher Gas Range Kettle Toaster Microwave Fridge Large kitchen table Bathroom facilities include: Shower with rainfall option Roll top bath Toilet Sink Sitting Room facilities include: 2 large sofas Wall mounted smart TV Inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove (wood for one night) Washing machine and freezer in the cellar. There is a secure space to store bikes if required. Gas Central Heating throughout. There will be a key available for you to access the property and use in a lock box, next to the front door. I will provide you with the PIN for this once booking is complete. It will need to be placed in the lock box on check out. Bellingham is on the Pennine Way and has the North Tyne River running through it, surrounded by beautiful countryside, only a couple of miles from the Northumberland National Park. There is a great walk up the Hareshaw Linn Waterfall from the village and a golf course. Kielder Water and Forest Park is about a 10 mile drive away where there are walking and cycle paths, mountain biking, visitor centres, cafes, wildlife hides and is a 'Dark Sky Park'. The UNESCO World Heritage site - Hadrian's Wall is nearby, with Vindolanda and The Sill about 20 miles away. The picturesque market towns of Hexham and Corbridge, are both about a 30 minute drive. Bellingham is served by the 680 bus from Hexham regularly through the day. Newcastle Airport is about 30 miles away. Bellingham is 16 miles from Hexham, 9 miles from Otterburn and 22 miles from the Scottish Border. It is on the National cycle routes 10 and 68. Bellingham is also a good stop on the Pennine Way for walkers. All the low down kitchen cupboards have child locks on them, which is super if you are travelling with small children.
