Beautiful Icelandic Cottage near Geysir

This beautiful cottage is located on the Uthlid farm 5km from Geysir and only an hour's drive from Reykjavik. Ideal for couples, families and small groups the cottage sits has over an acre of land, a geothermal hot tub and is the perfect base for exploration. Work on the exterior and deck was completed in the autumn of 2019. Enjoy the peace and quiet, the farm's facilities and the hiking trails that surround the cottage. The cottage is conveniently located 1km from the main Uthlid Farm facility with restaurant, pool, shop and 9 hole golf course. Heated by geothermal water the cottage can be used year round. The property is maintained by the farm staff who will clean and prepare the cottage for your visit. The cottage is a wonderfully private location beautifully nestled in a lava field unlike many other nearby cottages that are in exposed area. The cottage is furnished simply and has a private hot tub and deck area with beautiful views. The cottage is close enough to the farm store but far enough away up the mountain to be quiet especially during the summer months. It sits at the trailhead that access trails across the lava fields to the mountains and Bruaraskord 9km alway with its beautiful waterfall and views out to Langjokull. There a series of trails near the cottage. We recommend guests rent a vehicle and suggest a 4WD for winter months. Guests will be required to provided with access through the gate to the cottage area of the farm. This will either be a remote control provided by farm staff of by provision of guest cell number that can be used for access.
