Pleasant detached cottage within the grounds of a Grade 2 listed house set in 5 acres of gardens. 2 bedrooms (1 double and 1 twin), bathroom and open plan living area. Outdoor sitting area and access to gardens. Direct access to the canal and 30 minutes walk along the pathway to the centre of town. TV/DVD, Internet Access, Bike rental available. 10% discounts for week long stays 25% discount for whole month stays The cottage is completely detached and set in a courtyard behind the main house. The main house was visited by Princess Victoria shortly before she became Queen and was formally a spa - part of the Victoria spa complex - which was the first property to be named after her. Sole use of the cottage and access to the extensive grounds and garden. Some restricted areas of the grounds to respect the privacy of the owners. The wooden picnic style table in the rear courtyard is provided for the use of guests - an umbrella may be found in the large open part of the outbuildings. The large wooden table is reserved for the use of the owners. Covid 19 Guests can quite easily stay with no interaction with the hosts providing complete isolation. However we are always happy to chat and meet our guests whilst adhering to current social distancing guidance Kids can help feed the chickens and even collect their eggs. Walk / cycle into town or out into the countryside. The canal leads to the centre of town (head left - 1 mile) and Wilmcote (head right - 1.5miles) with two country pubs and Mary Ardens House (one of the Shakespeare properties) 30 minutes walk along canal to centre of Stratford. 5 minutes walk from Stratford upon Avon Parkway Train station / Park and Ride and close by to a Bus stop. (washer and dryer) The staircase to the 1st floor is quite steep and may prove hazardous for people with reduced mobility or very young children. The bedrooms are upstairs. The bathroom is downstairs. Shower only in bathroom. We want to point out that the cottage is not of palatial proportions when 4 adults are planning to stay to avoid disappointment. We really intended to aim the accommodation at family of 4 rather than 4 full grown people. One of the single beds is a “guest” style bed which can be stowed under the other one to create more space. Both singles are full size and do have good quality mattresses on them.
