Summary: Located on a Bute, spectacular views and fresh air awaits at this tranquil cottage. Manicured flower gardens, walking paths, river views, and the peace and quiet of the forest provide the perfect backdrop for a tranquil getaway on the ancient land of the Yurok tribe. The Space: A sweet little space tucked in amongst the Spruce trees on the road that leads to Requa House, the Requa Cottage is the perfect landing place for a couple or small family. With a king bed and a queen bed in a large upstairs bedroom, the views from the small deck off the bedroom are wonderful. Enjoy the warmth of a wood burning stove, cute kitchen area, and lots of handmade redwood accessories. Guest Access: You’ll receive a welcome letter with check-in information and instructions for keyless entry prior to arrival. The Neighborhood: Located on land once inhabited by the native Yurok tribe in the heart of a series of co-managed redwood parks, this region has been declared both an international biosphere reserve and world heritage site. Getting Around: Walking distance to numerous hiking trails, and a short drive to the Trees of Mystery, beaches, river access, world-class fishing, and other local scenic points of interest. Other Things to Note: There is no stove or oven, but there is a hot plate, griddle, microwave, BBQ, crockpot and air pot. The cottage also has an older 42" TV and a Smart DVD Player. There are a few movies provided, but feel free to bring your favorite DVD's. Interaction with Guests: You’ll have all the privacy you need and our staff is just a phone call away.
