The castle from 1253 is about 15 minutes by car from Regensburg with all its historic attractions. We rent three double rooms each with a private bath and privat toilet on the first floor. the floors are original 17th century pine boards. There is one kitchen for guests. The hosts live on the second floor. The office is on the ground floor. There is also the opportunity for hiking. The bicycle path Regensburg is close by. The rooms are authentic 17 th and 18th century with additional modern amenties like warm water, electicity and heated walls. Some frescos date back to the 13th century. There are stunning view of the Wenzenbach valley and its creek. Beyond the private bath for each guest rooms additional rooms can be rented for meetings and conderences. There is the "Red salon" heated by a 17th century tile stove. The baroque chapel is available for weedings or concerts. The castle lies in the foothills of the Bavarian Forest, close to Regensburg. bus line 34 to and from Regensburg train station takes 35 minutes There is an ongoing restauration of the medieval fortification around the castle.
