The Wee Trail House is next-door to the main Trail House and was recently renovated to a high standard. The decor is warm, clean and relaxing throughout. A new kitchen was installed as well as a fresh modern bathroom. There are two bedrooms with king size zip and link beds which can be set up as double or twin rooms. The open plan kitchen, dining and living space is very sociable and the coffee table easily converts into a small or large dining table. We wanted to extend what we have to offer with the main Trail House by transforming the Wee House into a comfortable and elegant accommodation option for smaller groups. 2 minute cycle from the Glentress area. Whether you are here to mountain bike around Glentress and the surrounding trails, cycle on the quiet country roads, fish on the River Tweed, golf, walk, go trail running, tackle the tree tops at GoApe, attend a wedding, shop, eat out or just relax in the house, The Wee Trail House is a perfect base for your time in this stunning valley. Prices based on 3+ nights, however, 2 night stays available at short stay rate. Discounts for longer stays. Parking for 1 car (sometimes 2 depending on Trail house guest numbers) at the Wee House. Additional parking available close by. Happy to accept house trained dogs. Access to the house + garage for bike storage. We can offer a meet and greet service if preferred, available on the phone/email throughout your stay. Quiet residential neighbourhood close to the forests, hills, river and trails. There is a bus stop at the bottom of the Eshiels road. Peebles is a 1.5 mile walk away. The closest railway station is 30 minutes drive away in Galashiels. 45 minute drive to Edinburgh. The Trail House and Wee House share the courtyard as well as parking. The houses are part of a small grouping of buildings, all traditional converted barns/steadings and cottages. The Trail House was historically the Stables building before it was converted and extended. We have an enclosed ‘courtyard’ at the front of the house. During Spring, Summer and Autumn months there are picnic tables and a BBQ. Please note that this is a shared space between the Trail House & Wee House, each have their own patio and tables but it is a social space for both and you may be sharing it with the guests from the other house. If this doesn’t sound like something you’d be comfortable with it may not suit your group.
