There's a bicycle path from Fondachello to Sant'Anna (inside the apartment there are 3 bikes). If you want to take your car you can visit a few km, Torre Archirafi, the river Alcantara, Giardini Naxos, Castelmola, Catania, Aci Castello, Acitrezza, etc. In Giarre, only 3 kilometres away, you will find some typical shops where you can buy clothes or souvenirs. The Sicilian nights are very magic in Giardini Naxos and Taormina: discos, pubs, night clubs… until the early hours. The charming Taormina is just 15 minutes away and is worth the visit. Thanks to our favourable location, our guests can get to the high mountain in 40 minutes and enjoy a beautiful daytrip on the Etna volcano, with its stunning incandescent lava and its inebriating scent of blooms. Take a beautiful walk to the waterfront of Marina of Riposto (1 km away), where you will find a restaurant by the sea, the international touristic port and a famous fish market. Catania is just 30 km away and you can easily travel there by bus, train or taxi. You will never forget the Sicilian Baroque, the ancient history, the castels, the artworks, and the typical streets of our region. You can easily reach Syracuse too, with the most beautiful Greek theatre of Italy, and Modica, Ragusa, etc. The trip to Agrigento and Palermo is a little longer (about 2 hours by car), but you will never forget the “temples” or its mosaics and architecture respectively. The weather usually is nice and warm all year, the rain is rare. You will never forget the Sicilian sun and crystal waters sea! And then you never forget “cannoli” with ricotta or chocolat cream, almond pastries, sicilian “granita” and “cassata”. Furthermore, you can eat good and fresh fish all year, and then all types of Italian food.
