Cozy bedroom with private bath and separate entry in an old farmhouse situated on a peaceful, tidal salt marsh. Private setting with trails through 15 acres of woods. Serene surroundings with stunning marsh views. Room includes a microwave, coffee maker and a cooler. There is a settee on the little gravel beach for guests to enjoy . Guests are also welcome to explore the property. There are also seats out at the main river which provide good sunset viewing. Hosts live in the main house and will be happy to help with suggestions about local tourist experiences, information on hikes and swimming spots. Experience the quiet life that is Downeast Maine. We see all kinds of wildlife; deer, turkeys, porqupines, hummingbirds and eagles. Explore the unspoiled peninsulas around Harrington. The Schoodic Peninsula, Acadia National Park and Campobello Island are all just over an hour away. Rural Maine requires car travel, but we have bikes and kayaks you can use at the house. There are plenty of walks and hikes in the area as well. I am currently only accepting fully vaccinated guests.
