Swallow’s Nest, Shepherd Hut is an oasis of peace and quiet on its own tranquil garth setting, commanding beautiful views of the majestic Cleveland hills. We guarantee a stress free, relaxing stay on our wonderful family arable farm, surrounded by our lovely horses. Guests to Swallow's Nest will benefit from open countryside and lots of fresh air. Sit quietly overlooking the field wildlife pond to view a mixed variety of birds visiting the area. With private off road parking in a safe gated area reached from Roger Lane, on arrival you can enjoy all the facilities provided for a comfortable, well-earned vacation. Our Shepherd hut is easily accessed from 3 wooden steps onto a large decking area. Here we have placed a swing seat and a patio table with chairs for your comfort and convenience. Hilton Village is a pleasant 10 minute stroll and offers visitors a Norman village church and grounds, a traditional village Pub, a well maintained play park, a village hall, Fishing Lakes (for both fishing and walking) and our best kept secret, Hilton Valley. Just take the left turn from main road to follow a designated bridle path through a working sheep farm and descend into a wonderful leafy green valley which goes all the way to the river Leven flowing through the bottom. Dogs must be kept on leads as there may be grazing cattle in the valley fields. The location offers a farm fresh shop with 3 kinds of bread, cheese scones, fruit scones, chocolate cookies and cakes baked daily. You can also purchase fresh eggs, homemade jams/chutney, cold drinks and clotted cream. The Town of Yarm is only 4 miles away, as is Stokesley in the opposite direction which holds an outdoor market every Friday. Both towns offer all options of shopping and dining experiences and fantastic riverside walking.
