The annex can sleep 4 and is furnished to a high spec, with a stylish new modern kitchen. As you enter you can discard your walking boots in the hallway, walk ahead to the spacious kitchen, stick on the kettle, or find a cool drink in the wine fridge. The living room is separate to the kitchen with a pull out sofa bed. It looks out onto a beautiful garden backing onto a sweeping meadow that leads to a stream where deer are often seen grazing. The large double bedroom leads on from the living room and provides the most peaceful nights sleep, with a large en-suite shower room. The annex is fully heated and cosy for the winter and airy and cool in summer. Towels, linens, and a welcome pack including toiletries is provided. Free on site parking and lock up for bikes available. Wifi, Sky with Sport & Netflix. Outside BBQ. We live on the property and available either by phone or knocking on our door. Griffins is surrounded by some of the most beautiful forest in the country. It is ideal for an escape no matter the weather, the surrounding forests are evergreens, so provide a stunning walk in winter as well as summer. You can walk out of the driveway and join a public footpath that takes you onto the largest common land in England. The famous Friday Street lake walk, the epic Leith Hill vista and the old fort at Holmbury Woods are all in walking distance. You may like to incorporate some local pubs on your journey such as the Abinger Hatch which is a stunning old English pub at the top of the lane, or the cyclists favourite, The Plough Inn at Coldharbour. 10 minutes drive to the Hurtwood school. The historic town of Dorking is a short drive from the property with it's cobbled high street. Furnished with cafes, shops, a theater, cinema, and swimming pool. The stunning village of Shere Village with it's ancient church is 10 mins drive away. The famous shopping town of Guildford is also near by complete with it's castle and cathedral. Watts Gallery, Chapel and Cemetery, many National Trust Houses and gardens plus Wisley RHS gardens are within easy reach. Beautiful rolling hills, ancient woodland, waterfalls and wildlife. Walkers paradise Mountain bike heaven (Single track MTB school discounts available) Part of the Olympic Cycle route It is an easy country escape from the city, with train links to London in close by Gomshall and Dorking. By car it is an easy and very scenic drive from the A3 out of London, and a 40 minute drive from Gatwick airport. The lanes are very narrow, local wildlife is abundant, also many cyclist and walkers so caution is advised. Local buses do run but they are few and far between so a car is essential for site seeing. Collection can be arranged from Gomshall or Dorking.
