Authentic farmhouse (Söjtöry-Domonkos Ház)

Huge garden, peaceful surroundings. Table tennis, hiking, cauldron cooking possibility, many sights nearby: Castle of Sümeg (events, wellness), Somló Hill, Szent György Hill, Badacsony (wine tour and tasting). And the place is also close to Keszthely, Hévíz, Sárvár, the Kemenes Volcano Park. Lake Balaton is just a hop, skip, and a jump from here. Our favorite spot is the Csodabogyós-cave in Balatonederics, which can be visited in an organized tour with a professional tour guide. Visitors can enjoy a huge living space. No crowd, no noise, there is hardly any traffic in the village. Several cars can be parked within the plot, and there is plenty of parking place on the street too. This is a perfect place to relax. Whatever direction you go, you reach great destinations / spots. All ages can find an attractive program for themselves. Castle games, caving, bathing and swimming in Lake Balaton, healing in the nearby Hévíz or Sárvár bath complex. You can also bring a bike. In the area you can observe farm work and wildlife. Especially in the evenings, roe deer, deer, pheasants, birds of prey can be seen on the outskirts of the village. Practically the entire house and the huge yard are at the guests’ service, except for the parts used for storage (barn, stable). There is also a small house for 4 people in the garden, which the children love. It is a real little hut. Being a country house, sometimes there is a chicken flying over to the garden from the next door, or sometimes the neighbor's small dog comes in for a visit (as he is a fan of the company). Birds nest in the garden and on the building. The fauna is more populous than in cities – being the real magic of this place. Cleanliness is not that extreme like in an urban 5* hotel, but there is good air and huge space. You will love it! Main Road 84 passing by the village provides excellent connections to the region and its settlements. The area around the village is flat, while Sümeg and Csabrendek, which are only 5-6 km away, offer a steeper terrain for hikers. There is one natural and one artificial fishing lake on the outskirts of the village. By riding a bike and keeping off the busy road sections, you can explore the area on agricultural roads. The village also has its own free leisure park and soccer field. You can move around by using your car or by train or bus.
