Chalet lake Massawippi - Estrie
Our home is directly on the edge of Lake Massawippi, near Magog and North Hatley, with views of Mount Orford. We have done several renovations with the concern to optimize the space. The proximity of water and nature will bring you calm and healing, even if being close to major cities (Sherbrooke 25 mins, Magog 15 mins). In addition, you will enjoy a warm and friendly place with all the necessary amenities, in a rustic / modern atmosphere. We are the 3rd generation to take care of this wonderful home. We have renovated it to make the most of its unique attributes. Thus, on the 1st floor, the living room with fireplace and television, the dining table that seats 14 people and the modern kitchen are open space. The kitchen has a breathtaking view of the lake ... so you can stock up on wonderful pictures while cooking or just relaxing in the hammock! Since we love to cook and receive, the kitchen is well thought out and fully equipped. On the same floor you will find a bedroom with a queen bed, a bathroom (bath-shower) and a laundry room. On the 2nd floor you will find the master bedroom (King bed) with lake view, a second living room with television, a second bathroom (shower), a bedroom with a king bed and a bedroom with a double bed and a bed simple. To enjoy the lake, you have access to a canoe, a baddle board and a floating carpet of 12x6ft as well as lifejackets. You can also swim easily. The depth of the lake increases slowly. Ideal for children. Since we are in a bay, in winter the ice becomes safe fairly quickly so you can skate, cross-country ski, snowshoe, ice fishing directly on the lake. And you can do campfire all year long! You have access to the whole house, except the basement. We are available to answer any questions during your stay. We are in a quiet neighborhood in Bacon's Bay. You have the Tomifobia Trail near the house, a nice walk to the village of Ayer's Cliff (about 15 minutes walk) or to bike to the US lines. At Ayer's Cliff you have a big grocery store with SAQ, the butcher shop Face de Boeuf (beautiful place!), The café O 1909, a few restaurants and the famous hotel Ripplecove. Several annual events including the rodeo (mid-June) and the agricultural fair (end of August). The bucolic village of North Hatley is 15 mins away, Magog is close by, Coaticook and its famous foresta lumina, not to mention all the artisans of the area that you can discover with the Wine Route and "comptonales" of Compton. You can put 3 cars in the parking lot. For additional vehicles, you can park them on the other side of the street. For two-day weekends, we offer the possibility to leave at the end of the day on Sunday (instead of 11am).
