The Cabin

Welcome to the Cabin. A three bedroom self contained log cabin located on a large private tree filled block. Enjoy the walking/cycling/riding/running trails that leave directly from the house. Take a drive to explore the charming Drenthe forests, farms, local artist studios, museums, Zoos or one of the many UNESCO stone burial sites. Or just relax in the cabin with a good book or a board game. The entire house and garden. The shed is used as a storage space and is locked. The Cabin is privately owned. However guests can also make use of the wonderful facilities provided by the Caravan Park Bronzen Emmer. I am always available when needed via phone or email. I will endeavour to assist in any way I can. Please don't hesitate to ask me if you have any queries big or small in regards to the cabin or surrounding area. Their is a camp ground adjacent the cabin. Although my cabin is privately owned you may access some facilities. It provides guests with the opportunity to use the Flying fox, Playground, Tennis courts, Indoor swimming pool (lap pool and kids pool /seasonal), Sauna, Bikes for rent, Children's activities daily (seasonal), Table tennis, Soccer field ( full size and mini), Deer (They are very interactive), Maps of the area, Horse Riding, Trampoline, Food and drinks, Tourist information, Postcards and stamps to name but a few. There are also swimming lakes to be found nearby and cross country skiing in the winter. There are lovely restaurants and cafes nearby to sample. The Hunebedden or Dolmen are also nearby. They are ancient stones dating back thousands of years and well worth a visit. There are beautiful forests and parks to explore on foot or bike. Information can be found in the cabin or at the caravan park information desk. There are numerous museums and a well renowned Zoo in Emmen. There are walking, cycling (bikes can be rented at the caravan park), riding and running trails that leave directly from the house. Explore local artist studios and sample local produce all by foot. It is a place to relax or be active. The choice is yours. There is a bus stop in Meppen that makes regular stops and its an easy 20 minute bus trip to the train station in Hoogheven. The cabin comes with WiFi, a Wii and television. The Kitchen is equipped with an oven, coffee machine, kettle, fridge, toaster, cook books and all necessary kitchenware. Please note that there is no dishwasher. The bedrooms all come with pillows, mattress protectors and blankets. All other linen needs to be brought by the guests. Linen can be provided at an extra cost of ten euro per person. There is a bathroom with a sink, shower and toilet. There is a small laundry room with a washing machine and drying rack. The house is heated by a central heating system and is very warm in the winter. There is a picnic table outside along with other outdoor furniture. Dogs are very welcome. However there is also an extra nightly fee for their stay of ten euro a night. This will be charged by the host after booking is accepted through tikkie. Dogs are not to be left alone in the house or outside. They must be on a lead at all times. They are not allowed on any furniture (this includes the rug in the living area) and their waste must be picked up. Please bring a rug for the dog to lie on. Any damage or extra cleaning necessary will incur a fee and be deducted from the deposit. We greatly appreciate your consideration in regards to dogs (my dog follows the same rules). There is an outdoor fireplace that can be used in the cooler months. Please note you need to provide your own firewood.
