North Woods Pristine Lake Paradise!

** Note - This wonderful northwoods cabin rents for a minimum of 4 consecutive nights. ** Your own private guest cabin on 6 private acres overlooking crystal clear Big Portage Lake. Sand beach, canoes, kayak, great lake views! Refrig, coffee maker, microwave and toaster, but no kitchen (great restaurants nearby). Come and go as you please. Host is usually on property, residing in main house. Kids over 6 years welcome. No pets, jet-skis, ATVs, fireworks, loud music or powerboats, please. Welcome to "Toad Hall" - your place for fresh air, clear water, loons, tall red pines, a sandy beach, stars and northern lights. The guest cabin is a homey, quiet and comfortable retreat on 6 acres of property along the crystal clear waters of gorgeous Big Portage Lake. Canoes, kayak, rowboat, 200 feet of sand beach, spacious yard, beach house. There is an extensive network of bike and hiking trails in the region and excellent dining options within a 15 minute drive. I will try to be there to welcome my guests. Thereafter, my time at the property is sporadic. I am always available by phone, text or email for questions! A quiet retreat, surrounded by red and white pines. Neighbors are barely visible through the trees. Northeast shore location provides sunlight at the beach from 10:00 a.m. through sunset. Watch beautiful sunsets from the deck or the beach! There is a network of bike trails through the region and many good restaurants within a 10 minute drive. Big Portage Lake is crystal clear. Loons call day and night. Deer browse in the yard and on the lakeshore. Many wilderness attractions are close by including waterfalls and wilderness lakes and hiking areas. On clear nights, the stars are brilliant. This is a retreat for those who value peace and quiet. If you like to party, stay up late, yell and scream, play loud music, blow off fireworks, please consider other properties. There are approximately 24 steps down the hill to the beach. The town of Land O' Lakes is a short 6 minutes drive away. Bedding, towels, soap and bathroom essentials are provided. Coffee maker, toaster, microwave and refrigerator are in the enclosed porch. The accommodation is not heated in the summer (June-August) but there is a small space heater. Campfires are not permitted unless the host is on the property. Grilling is not permitted since there is no kitchen for clean-up, but there is a great grilling spot nearby on a public beach! There are three twin beds and one double bed, an enclosed glass porch with wonderful views and a deck attached to your house. After booking, I will send a welcome booklet with helpful hints about the region and the property.
