Perfect base for walkers and cyclists wanting to explore the Peak District. Just 4 miles from Kinder Scout. Everything you need to enjoy refuelling and relaxing at the end of the day. Great views to Lantern Pike and Kinder Free Wi-Fi and plentiful parking. PET FRIENDLY Located on the Sett Valley Trail, Lantern View House has four bedrooms (2 bedrooms with kingsize beds and ensuite bath/ shower room, 2 bedrooms with pairs of singles (extra-long beds 6'6"; one pair can be linked to a superking ). The large, comfortable sitting room has three sofas and a TV with NetFlix subscription. The large kitchen-diner has everything you need to enjoy refueling and relaxing at the end of the day, with a small balcony with great views to Lantern Pike. There is a large basement suitable for storing bikes and other equipment, accessed from the dining area, or through an outside door (no need to wheel bikes through the house). The spiders also live here. Guests will have sole use of the house and garden. Make yourself at home! I am here for you during your stay, but our level of interaction is up to you. This village is famous for the starting point of the 1932 'Mass Trespass' on Kinder Scout which was the beginning of the right to roam movement in the UK. You can still walk the same route through Hayfield and up onto the Moors. The village itself is beautiful and has many popular tea shops and pubs. There are railway links close by in New Mills and Whaley Bridge. Driving is the easiest way to explore the are but there is fantastic walking and cycling right out of the front door.
