Penny Pint Cottage, Youlgrave - walk, rest, unwind

Penny Pint is a cosy 2 bedroom cottage, located in Youlgrave in the heart of the Peak District. It is clean and comfortable, in a quiet location, and guests can rest outside in a partially enclosed garden or the allotment-garden which has a lovely view of the valley. It is in easy walking distance to the village shops, pubs, bus stop, playground, and the beautiful Bradford Dale. It has a fully equipped kitchen, beds are made up for your arrival, towels are provided. We called the cottage Penny Pint because an elderly neighbour told us that when he was a boy, over 80 years ago now, he was sent there to buy milk for one penny a pint. It remains a characterful cottage, but with many modern features. In addition to the garden, there is an allotment across the road with a great view of the valley and places to sit. There is also a place to store bicycles. There is free parking on the road. We live next door but one to the cottage so we are at hand to help if needed. There is a bus service that goes to Bakewell and other places. Your nearest bus stop is in front of the George Hotel across from the Church In the shower room is a spacious walk-in shower. There is no bath. There is a gas fire in the living room. Please note it is not a wood burning stove.
