A large room for one person, well ventilated and lighted and a doble bed with large bathroom . Pets are welcome and they pay a special fee. The room overlooks an ample garden, with a frog pond and places to sit and enjoy a variety of birds, flowers and trees. Breakfast is served on the outdoor patio or in the common dining room for all guests . Breakfast is home cooked and optional at extra cost. Breakfast includes coffee or tea along with local homemade bread and jams produced from our organic garden. 10 minutos away by car, you can visit "El Centro de Artes de San Agustín" and "The Paper Factory of Oaxaca". You can also walk to get there in only 25 minutes following rural roads along the river. It's a fabulous and spectacular hike. 15 minutes by car there is an archeological site "San José Mogote", which is older than Monte Albán. You can also visit the community museum in town where you will find information about the history of San José Mogote. Oaxaca is famous for its food, so don't miss the Etla market on Wednesdays. In the market, there are a great variety of locally produced products of all kinds . The market is extensive and filled with fun and surprises. There are local restaurants in the market which serve traditional oaxaqueñan dishes prepared on site by local cooks . Public transportation is inexpensive and readily available. The weather is always pleasent especially in the months from September to April but you will be wise to bring a sweater and a hat. In this community, we count with collective-taxis that can take you and your family to the city of Oaxaca or also with private-taxis. We count with private transportation on a Van as well. Ask for prices at the reception. This is a 90% catholic community which like to celebrate each one of their religious festivities. People here are kind and generous. They feel very proud of their customs and traditions and they love to share that with visitors. The people of this community are mostly catholic and they celebrate every religious festivities with fireworks and music. People here love the local music and children are taught to play a variety of instrumentos since they are small to be part of bands and different musical groups which is very interesting to see.
