Il Poggetto is a homely family campsite, surrounded by the Tuscan mountains not far from Florence. It is near the village of Troghi, and situated in the middle of the Chianti area. Half an hour driving from the campsite, you find the historic city of Florence. Siena, Pisa, Lucca, and San Gimignano are also easy to reach and certainly worth a visit! When staying at Campsite Il Poggetto, you will find yourself in the Tuscan countryside among the olive trees and vineyards. The sanitary buildings (nearby the tents around the corner) are well-kept and have dressing rooms, showers, washing basins, children’s toilets and a special baby room. The tents are positioned next to one another in a cosy street with a view on the campsite. Opposite the Villatents, the other guests have their tents or caravans. You can enjoy the pleasant hustle and bustle of the campsite in the privacy of your luxurious Villatent, fully equipped for a maximum of five people. More about the campsite About the campsite At the centre of the campsite, there are the reception, a small shop, a restaurant, and a swimming pool. At the restaurant, you can both lunch and dine, but also collect carry-out meals. Sports fans can enjoy themselves at the volleyball field or play (table) tennis. Wifi is available throughout the whole campsite, upon payment of a fee. Would you like to explore the region? At the reception, you can hire electric bicycles and mountain bikes. There are many cycling trails in the vicinity, but you can also get to know the area by riding a horse. Nearby the campsite, there is a horse ranch that organises special tours within the region. Swimming fun The campsite has a large outdoor pool with lounge beds and parasols free of charge. From the pool, you have a beautiful view on the Tuscany landscape. And while the children are having fun swimming and splashing about, you can relax in the jacuzzi or drink a well-deserved glass of wine on the terrace. It is compulsory to wear a bathing cap in the pool. Entertainment and activities During the high season, an entertainment team organises various activities. For the young children, there is a mini club, while the older ones can participate in sports activities. The entertainment team is particularly focussed on children up to 10 – 12 years of age.
