The "Aux Prés" room is one of the rooms of our bed and breakfast "L'Orée de Giverny". It is a cottage wich was recently renovated in a design style, located in our garden. It is a 30 m2 room with a private bathroom with shower. You have also a 20m2 terrace facing fields with horses. The room has a bed of 140 X 190 and one sofa bed. Ideal for a coople, or a family with 1 child. The bedding is new and comfortable. Wifi is free and available throughout the property. The price of the cottage include the breakfasts. For your diner and lunch, we can recommend nice restaurants nearby: gastronomic, french traditional food or quick meals. The room is non-smoking. We can lend you bicycles (upon request in advance). You can easily park your car in our parking just right outside the house. We have a little bed for baby that we can install for you free of charge. We have different places in our property where people can relax: garden furnitures, hammock, soft swing. We live in the main house and are very open to share with our guests and help them in organizing their stay. We speak French and English We are located in a small village near Giverny 3 minutes by car (15 to 20 minute walk) Epte River border our property with the old wash-house. Hillocks height Giverny is an opportunity for beautiful walks, bike lanes can lead you both to Vernon or even Gisors (we can prepare bikes for you on request). Besides the house and gardens of Claude Monet and the "Musée des impressionnistes" with temporary exhibitions at Giverny you can visit: the castle of La Roche Guyon by the Seine and for part troglodyte (5 km), Domaine de Villarceaux (15 km) and its magnificent golf,the castle of Gisors, the Andelys (Richard Coeur de Lyon) or Bizy Vernon (5 km) still home to Napoleon's family. The castle of Versailles is at about 30 mn from home. Norman abbeys are not far away and there are many villages to explore including Honfleur, wich is a fishing village near the seaside at only 1h20 from home. BY CAR. Take the A13 (Paris-Deauville-Le Havre) From Paris: less than an hour on average, first exit after the toll, go through Bonnières, cross the Seine, last home of the village on your left following Giverny direction. From Rouen: 45 minutes on average, "Vernon" exit, through Giverny, then first road on the right; we are located at the end of the straight, the first house on the right after the little bridge. BY TRAIN Saint-Lazare train station in Paris. Stop at "Vernon" (Eure). 50 minutes. We can book a taxi for you from the train station of Vernon to come home (10 minutes).
