The rest of the property is unoccupied so patio, driveway and front lawn areas are for your exclusive use. Completely private, perfect for a family. In the summer meals on the patio are delightful, at night weather permitting you can see the milkyway. Located away from the hustle and bustle. Reached by a country lane. Ideal for walking, contemplating, readers & thinkers All the accommodation is located entirely on the ground floor of the main house. The upper floor is not occupied, is not available and is used for storage. There is a small garden to the front and a patio plus room for several cars.The interior is well loved and traditional rather than modern, created for those who like things cosy and simple, perfect for returning to after a long walk or exploration of the stunning coastline. This is country living with great views. Bring a book, bring a sketch pad, bring a sense of humor as the Isle of Man can provide plenty of rain! The accommodation is up a farm track off the B43 past the church in Ballabeg. Ballafodda Farm (Annie's Place) is shown on the Ordnance Survey Map It would be a good idea to have wellies or walking shoes in case it rains. The weather can be glorious and the air is clean and fresh; a great restorative. Remember no WiFi so have roaming on your phones. I have a housekeeper Ann Callow who lives in the village. Occasionally horse riders use it, off-road bikes might pass occasionally but this is a rare occasion. If they are bringing in the harvest there are usually two days of farming activity in the fields around us. 10 minute walk to bus stop. 15 minute walk to Steam Railway Halt. 1 mile+ from a Spar 1 mile+ to Colby Pub 4 miles to Port Erin, Port St Mary, Castletown and Airport. The farmer brings his cows in for milking around 3.30 in the afternoon. a piece of string is placed so the cows cant wander up the drive and make divots in my lawn. So for 20 minutes you might have to wait whilst the cows meander across the lane. We have hares that lollop past from time to time. The accommodation is part of an old farm with some outbuilding. it is set in 7 acres of fields that are mowed for hay. the farmer will harvest twice during the summer. He has full access. The fields are not part of the rental. There is a small area away from th accommodation that supports lesser spotted orchids. When it is fine the views are fabulous. 4 miles from Port Erin, Port St Mary and (Website hidden by Airbnb) and Festival of Motorsport are both rented as minimum 14 day period, Southern 100 is rented as a week.
