Maia b&b is situated in Gizzeria, a typical panoramic village of the south of Italy in the area of Lamezia Terme, Calabria. The International Airport is almost 10 km far as well as the main train station of the region. The perfect destination for tourists looking for a natural environment and a quite atmosphere, in an ideal location. Our guests always find courtesy, friendliness and a welcoming atmosphere in order to feel at ease, to relax and enjoy a pleasant and unforgettable holiday. We can host up to 7 guests, we have two double room and one triple room. 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms with maxi shower and a Jacuzzi, kitchen, living room, 3 balcony, laundry, garden, car park. I visit my guests on mornings, but they can always call me in case of emergency or for information. A stone’s throw away, you will find: pharmacy, duty doctor, bank, post office, supermarket, kiosk, tobacconist, restaurant, café, pub, “pizzeria”, hairdresser. Try the typical Calabrian food in a restaurant or pub; it's delicious! The Gizzeria landscape offers a splendid view ranging from rolling hills to the waters of the Gulf of Sant'Euphemia. Gizzeria is blessed with a beautiful shoreline, spanning 8 kilometers. The center of town is located 625 meters above sea level. Monte Mancuso is the town's highest point at 1,290 meters above sea level. Gizzeria shares borders in common with the municipalities of Falerna, Nocera Terinese, Lamezia Terme and of course the Tyrrhenian Sea. The town's territory is within 10 minutes driving distance from the Lamezia Terme International Airport, as well as 10 minutes driving distance from the Lamezia Terme Train Station. Gizzeria is located approximately 40 kilometers from Catanzaro, its province capital. In Gizzeria’s area you will also find: “Caronte” Thermal bath and Spa, the most beautiful beaches of the Tyrrhenian coast, the most beautiful mountains and landscapes of Calabria, the ancient city centre of “Nicastro”, the shopping mall “Due Mari”, and a number of characteristic small villages where you can enjoy the traditions and the food of ancient Calabria. The best way to visit the area is by car. You can rent a car near the airport or the train station!
