Covid rules currently allow my little place to open up again. It's very busy, so book it if you can ! if you're new to Airbnb and are yet to show a review, I ask that you verify who you are with Airbnb by lodging government photo ID please.... Welcome to my busy, 1980's Thurso studio. Unlock the door, and you're home! Perfect for two, with luxury kingsize bed (that splits to two singles), kitchen alcove, washer, wifi, TV and bright shower room. Great for your night or 7 in the Far North. The king bed splits to two 2 foot 6 inch singles - for two friends to share the room without getting on top of each other ! Here are some more some do's and don'ts to consider before you decide to book, starting with the do's first: Do book if: - You like the idea of an ensuite hotel room without the hotel bit, and with the privacy and freedom to cook, and do your laundry when you want to. - You are travelling light - maybe in a wee sprightly car - and need to wash, iron and wear again your small cases of nice clothes before dining out in style. - You are up to 2 cyclists. it is just (underlined just) possible to bring a maximum of 2 bicycles into the apartment. It's a tight squeeze round the front door; you'll need to take off your panniers on the street to get your bikes in. - You have outdoor gear you need to stack up in the vestibule, and want to hang up such as wetsuits, rucksacks and the rest to drip and dry there. Don't book this listing if want or need to have or do any of the following: - You need a stunning view out of the window - from here walk down the road to enjoy the riverside gardens and the rolling waves at the seafront. - You want to sit out in a garden - there is no outdoor space. - You have mobility problems. Sadly this spot is not wheelchair accessible, does not have a level access shower, and there are 3 internal steps from the vestibule to the main living room. - You need a reserved private parking spot. Parking is unrestricted, on street; finding a space within 100 metres, is rarely, if ever a problem. - You want to grill or bake food. There is no grill or oven. Simplicity is the key in the small kitchen. - You want to party all night. Year round, me and my lovely senior neighbours tend toward maintaining the quiet character of this residential street. - You want to smoke, or light candles, joss sticks or burn any other naked flames - You want the latest, most modern surroundings. This little place is functional and comfortable, used but not abused ! I think that about covers things - but do get in touch in advance of booking if there's anything else you're not sure about. Enjoy privacy during your stay - We may well be available to meet and greet you on arrival, otherwise we'll email you the code to the keysafe so you can let yourself in. Perfect for enjoying Thurso Town Centre. The bus stop for all destinations - Scrabster, Inverness etc - is just round the corner. The train station is about half a mile away. Taxis are available from ranks throughout the town. Of course we all need to be a bit flexible for reasons of covid 19. If we find ourselves in Government directed lockdown of one kind or another, (or worse !), either you, the guest, or me, the host may need to cancel, perhaps at short notice. Let's hope the virus isn't among us for a very long time !
