A modern luxury self-contained annexe with wet room, 6ft super king-bed (can be 2 singles if required) and kitchenette. Flat screen TV with SKY channels & wireless internet. Located in a quiet village with a local pub. Disability friendly, no steps and off-road parking. Lavender Lodge was converted into a self contained annexe in November 2015. The self contained studio apartment has high quality bathroom and kitchen fittings and a zip linked 6 foot wide hotel quality double bed. Guests can enjoy our large garden and terrace should they so wish. We have wheel chair access to the apartment and sympathetically designed shower grab rails that double as towel rails in the wet room. The lavatory is slightly raised so as to assist those with limited mobility. We can supply lavatory surrounds, and shower seats if required. Access to Lavender Lodge is via its own front door. We have a code access key store to allow guests access if we are not available. We have private off street parking for our guests. If you need any help during your stay just ask. We have created a folder which lists some of the local places you might wish to visit. We have lived in the area for 20 years and so know some great places off the beaten track to help you make the most of your stay. We live in the main part of the house. When you arrive we will supply a welcome pack so you know you can have a cup of tea , coffee and a snack before your explorations commence! Clifton is a quiet village, one mile from Deddington. Clifton has a post box , bus stop and....a newly reopened free house "The Duke Of Cumberland's Head", located about 200 yards from Lavender Lodge. The pub reopened in April 2017. There are a multitude of popular wedding venues close by including the very grand looking Aynho Park , the uber trendy Soho Farmhouse and The Great Barn at "A Day In the Country". Local North Oxfordhshire festivals include Cropredy, Cornbury, Jamie Oliver's Feastival and the Wilderness Festival Drive times to local places:- Bicester Village Shopping designer retail outlet. 20 mins. Banbury 15 mins. Woodstock and Blenheim Palace 20 mins. Further afield:- Oxford Silvertsone Race Circuit Stratford Upon Avon Warwick Castle and Leamington Spa Local Cotswold towns- Burford , Stow on the Wold, Chipping Norton Daylesford Farm Shop and restaurant A very poor bus service serves Clifton. More buses serve Deddington a mile away. We can recommend local taxi companies. We are located on part of the Deddington circular walk route. There are lots of great local walks and some fantastic local places to cycle to as well. Clifton is close to the villages of Deddington and Aynho. Clifton has a free house pub, The Duke of Cumberlands Head known affectionately as "The Duke" which serves good quality pub grub and great beer. The village of Deddington (1 mile away) is a bustling small market town which has a small supermarket , hotel, three restaurants including an Indian and Chinese , coffee shop, antique shops, florists, hairdressers, four pubs , fantastic butchers/deli and a monthly farmers market. The Deddington Farmers Market is held on the last Saturday of the month. The Oxford Canal and the canal side pub "The Great Western" is about half a mile away from Lavender Lodge. The local gastro pub is The White Horse at Kings Sutton which is located three miles away. Booking in advance at The White Horse is absolutely essential.
