'Bustard Hut' at Kingsettle Stud

The Bustard Hut is brand-new to Airbnb and was lovingly built by the owners of Kingsettle Stud, Susie & Rory. The hut is set in a wild-flower meadow, with expansive views over surrounding countryside and a large, private elevated balcony looking out into surrounding woodland. A firepit and outdoor picnic area are provided, although this huge hut has plenty of space indoors too. For camping in comfort, the main bed is king-size with a high quality pocket sprung matress. There is also an en-suite. We've filled this hut with reclaimed finds and antique knick-nacks for a totally unique experience. We've tried to provide everything you will need for cooking basic meals. The towels and linen are high-quality egyptian cotton. All-in-all we've aimed for a high-quality glamping experience that is family-friendly and aventorous without compromising on home comforts. We live on-site so are available if you need anything (tea top ups, laundry etc). Beyond that we leave you to it. Check-in is via a keypad lock, so you neednt have any contact with us if you don't want to! We've got two excellent pubs within walking distance. Our 2500acre family-owned farm is entirely organic and sustainably farmed meaning you're bound to encounter loads of wildlife during your stay. The surrounding countryside is littered with iron-age burial mounds, not to mention UNESCO world-heritage site Stonehenge sitting on our doostep, with some fabulous walking. Sitting on the edge of Salisbury Plain, we are also in one of the largest 'dark-sky' areas in the UK, meaning plenty of stargazing from the hut or whilst roasting marshmallows over the firepit. We are ideally loacted for exploring Salisbury/Winchester/Bath and Oxford too. A car is recommended, we are remote! There is a train station (Grateley) very nearby however, and taxis are available from Andover.
