Original, built in 1905, beautiful, completely renovated, open plan traditional rhodian house with 2 double beds, living area with fireplace, kitchenette, bathroom and a large private courtyard, ideal for summer under the bougainvillea. Located in a quiet village close to the beach, airport and many of Rhodes attractions, for those seeking an authentic and calm experience! Beautiful house, built in 1905 and completely restored with all original handmade artworks and furniture, accomodates 4 people spaciously with double beds for those seeking an experience in traditional style in an authentic rhodian house! You will sleep in the elevated on wooden floors bedrooms, romantically separated with cotton and lace curtains. Large private stone paved outdoor space with dining table, small garden with romantic night lighting and free parking right outside the house. Equipped with quality bed sheets and all essentials and modern comforts. There is a small kitchenette, large fridge and coffee facilities as well as a Nespresso machine. The bathroom is adjacent to the house with a shower and hot water, quality towels and branded organic toiletries. Guests gan enjoy the private courtyard which is shaded by the bougainvillea during the day and especially at the evening with the illuminated little garden. There is a BBQ available for summertime grills at the courtyard. They can park their vehicle inside the courtyard, if they wish. Guests will be greeted upon arrival with homemade jams, pies and local delicacies and we'll be glad to give them tips for Rhodes and recommendations in order to have the best holiday possible! The house is located in the centre of a small quiet village, Soroni, off the beaten track but right on the main highway, on the west coast of Rhodes, very close to the airport, 8 km distance and 24km from Rhodes downtown. You can walk to the beach, only 600m away. It is a quiet, sandy and pebbles beach. Ideal spot also for those who love kite and surf! It is a wonderful area to start exploring Rhodes' unique nature as it is very close to the famous valley of the butterflies and to one of Rhodes most beautiful mountains and forests, Profitis Ilias, a must-see when in Rhodes, as well as the ancient town of Kameiros, one of the three ancient cities of Rhodes. The villages of the west coast, bathed in the afternoon sunlight, hide many small gems to discover and great traditional restaurants. They are not overcrowded with tourists, so it is a perfect way to relax and live an authentic life as a local. The village itself has all essentials, supermarket, grocery shops, pharmacies, small traditional cafes and restaurants (ask us for great tips!), bakeries and pastry shops. Although the house is situated right in the centre of the village, it is quiet and you don't feel crowded, as it is a village populated mainly by locals. You can find everything on foot, bakery, grocery shops, restaurants just across the house. As the village is located right on the main highway of the west coast, there is regular bus connection to Rhodes town 50meters from the house. Plus, Soroni village has excellent roads connecting to the east coast, by car, so you can easily go anywhere! Renting a car is highly recommended as Rhodes is a large island with plenty of things to do everywhere and an extended road network. The house is suited for families, as there are bedrooms in the traditional style on wooden floors a few stairs above the ground with curtains, as pictured in the photos, fun for kids as long as they are not toddlers. There are two double beds, plus one single size next to the one double, ideal for a small kid.
