Amazing seafront location, property opposite the golden sands of Longsands beach. Private, self-contained space, guests own entrance at rear of property. Bedroom, shower room, kitchenette. Free parking. Bike storage. Cullercoats located between Tynemouth & Whitley Bay, both 20 min walk away. Cafes, bars, restaurants, shops & Metro 5 min walk away. Kayak, paddle board, surf & bike hire in harbour. Metro ride away to Newcastle city centre for shops, theatres, Sage music venue, Baltic art gallery. Note that full COVID-19 cleaning precautions are in place. There is a 24hr block in between guests to ensure time for deep clean and non-entry subsequent to this. The space comprises: Cosy, quiet, light bedroom with King Size bed, 2 x 3-drawer bedside cabinets, sofa, wardrobe with hanging space (hangers provided) and shelves, hairdryer, WiFi, Freeview tv, DVD player and dvds, central heating. Lockable bedroom door. Selection of games and books. Hallway (locked from main house for your privacy) leads to own kitchenette with kettle, toaster, bench-top oven and grill (no hob), microwave and under bench fridge. Tea and coffee provided. Crockery, cutlery etc provided including cafetière for a fresh morning roast. Also in this room is a washer, tumble dryer and hanging space on our handy Sheila Maids. Guests are welcome to use these facilities for free if required, washing powder provided. Kitchenette leads to private shower room with toilet, basin and electric shower. Towels, toilet paper, handwash and shower gel/shampoo provided. Guests welcome to use the back yard to relax in if desired. Free parking 100m away or park outside property with council visitor permit for £25 refundable deposit returned on departure. Bike storage at property. The back lane and yard path leading to guest entrance is flat and accessible. There is a step up into property, but no steps or stairs inside the Airbnb space. Guests have full use of private self-contained space, with own private entrance through yard, via back gate in lane. Guests are welcome to use the back yard to relax in. We may pass through the yard to access back lane at times. We live in the main property, which is separately locked from guests for your privacy, but we are available and happy to chat and give advice about the area and things to do, should you wish. We will respect your privacy at all times. We greet guests into the property at our main front door, please ring the doorbell to the left of the door on arrival. Amazing seaside location! Property directly on seafront. Centrally located in Cullercoats, which lies between Tynemouth and Whitley Bay. Cullercoats is a bustling village, a 3 min walk down the road, above the harbour you’ll find various coffee shops all serving breakfasts and lunches, each with their own style, a couple of great restaurants for the evening and fish and chip shop. We have our own RNLI Lifeboat in the harbour. Metro transport, grocery/deli, convenience shops, post office and library are 5 min walk away. There is kayak, paddle board and bike hire, surf lessons, lots to do. Tynemouth, 20 min walk away or one Metro stop, is a vibrant village with plenty of restaurants and bars, it hosts a fab all-weekend market in Tynemouth station, a castle and priory to visit and is a short walk away from North Shields fish quay for fresh fish & chips, gastro pubs and bars. Whitley Bay, 25 min walk away or one Metro stop, has the newly refurbished Spanish City dome, with restaurants, champagne bar and gorgeous views. Lovely sandy beach leads to St Mary’s lighthouse. Whitley Bay enjoys a variety of restaurants, bars, micro pubs and independent shops. Basically we are centrally located for a great relaxing break at the seaside! Travel by car is laid-back here at the coast with plenty of car parking facilities. Metro transport is convenient and easy, the nearest station Cullercoats is 5 min walk away, the Metro runs into Newcastle Central Station, into Newcastle International Airport and onwards south of the river. Locally in the summer there is a Seasider open-topped bus and a Landtrain to take you along the coastline from Whitley Bay to Tynemouth. There is free parking 100m from property, or subject to availability, our council visitor permit may be used outside property for a deposit of £25 refunded on departure, please enquire if you wish to use this facility. Cycles may be safely stored within property. We have a quiet, well-behaved labrador, he is kept totally separate to the Airbnb space at all times, both when guests are staying and also in between guests, ensuring a clean space. He will be in the shared yard at times. A cot is available for a small additional fee. Check-in set at 4pm onwards but may be earlier by prior arrangement.
