Villa Marina Piccola is a lovely independent self-catering villa which is perfectly situated in front of the cristal clear Ionian sea and a splendid sugar white sand beach. The villa is surrounded by a magnificent private garden, rich in high pine trees, eucalyptus, olive, orange and lemon trees, flowers and a vineyard. Villa Marina Piccola can accomodate 4 people. It has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a living-room with kitchenette and a shaded veranda with sea view, perfect to eat “al fresco”. Close to all the local amenities for shopping, eating out and sightseeing it is also an excellent place to rest and relax. In the local area there are many interesting places to visit, from Graeco-Roman archaeological sites and museums to picturesque villages, untouched forests and marvellous beaches. We reccommend the following trips: Scolacium, a Greek-Roman archaeological site in an olive tree estate. You can see the theatre, the forum, and a small but interesting museum with statues and local archaeological findings. On the top of the hill you can visit the necropolis and admire a breathtaking view of the gulf. At the entrance you’ll find the ruins of a Norman church “La Roccelletta. You can also visit a olive mill which dates back to the beginning of last century. Squillace: nice village on the hills, famous for ceramics. Stilo: visit the tiny but perfectly preserved basilian church “La Cattolica” that dates back to 12th century. Bivongi: newly restored basilian church where the monks from Greece still live and pray. The place is also very famous for mushrooms. Locri Epizefiri: wide archaeological site with a beautiful ancient Greek theatre and a very interesting museum. Cropani: picturesque village with an interesting church. La Sila: impressive Calabrian highland with two lakes and Silano pine forests. Tropea: beautiful tourist resort on the Tirrenian sea.
