The Lost Lobster lakefront suite w/ hot tub

Welcome to the Lost Lobster on the lake. We’ve designed this space with guest comfort and privacy in mind. The suite is on the lower level of our home; featuring its own walkout entrance - steps away from the hot tub. You’ll enjoy a kitchenette; queen bed; private bath; and lake access for swimming, standup paddle boarding and skating. Enjoy a morning coffee or your favourite drink to unwind on the dock and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. Working from home? Work from here for a change in scenery! Comfy queen sized bed; love seat and chair; large desk; and counter stools at the island for dining. The kitchenette includes an electric hot plate, convection toaster oven, bar fridge with small freezer compartment, kuerig coffee maker, electric kettle and a microwave. BBQ for your use as well. In the winter when conditions permit, you can enjoy skating on the lake. In summer, swim out to the platform; enjoy a paddle around the lake on the Stand Up Paddle-boards. We don’t have skate rentals available so be sure to bring yours with you. **These activities are enjoyed at your own risk. ** Hot Tub, Lake, Dock, Fire-pit, Gardens and play-set. This is your time so you can have as little or as much communication with us as you’d like. Please feel free to ask questions or get help any time during your stay. You can communicate on your terms via text, phone, or the app. During the summer months you will likely see us at lake and around the yard. We are friendly and love hearing from our guests. We are happy to provide recommendations on places to visit and experiences to enjoy while in the area. Nature lover’s paradise: we are located next to the Terrence Bay Wilderness Area and situated on beautiful Moody Lake. You’ll find >10’ depth water right off the dock. Less than 10 minutes from Crystal Crescent Provincial Park and beach; 15 minutes to the breathtaking Duncan’s Cover Nature Reserve where you can satisfy your desire for a seaside hike on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean; an hour from the Annapolis Valley where you’ll find world class vineyards and the delicious NS Tidal Bay wines; 15 minutes to the Bayers Lake Park which provides shopping, dining and entertainment; you’re less than 25 minutes from downtown Halifax to enjoy a stroll on the boardwalk, take a ride on the Harbour Hopper, visit the Public Gardens or enjoy one of the many festivals our great city is host to. Long Lake Park 10 minutes away has kilometres of maintained trails great for walking and a SUP /kayak rental outfit during the summer months. World famous, Peggy’s Cove is a beautiful one hour drive. Ski Martock is less than an hour away. In Halifax you will find a public bus transit service, taxis and car sharing. There are two ferries that provide regular service between Halifax and her twin city, Dartmouth. During the summer months you can also hire a water taxi on the harbour. Our tranquil setting just outside the city would be best enjoyed if you had a vehicle so that you can explore the nearby parks and beaches. There are two suites on the lower level of our home. One is being fit up as a two bedroom suite which is yet available for booking and the other is your space to enjoy. Designed to be the perfect getaway for guests, you have privacy as everything you need is fully contained in the space once you enter. While visiting you’ll enjoy exclusive access to the hot tub which is right outside your door. There is a BBQ, fire pit and wood provided for your use. There are nearby restaurants that offer take out if you prefer not to cook. Alexandra’s pizza in Spryfield will deliver for a $5 charge and UberEats delivers from a few places.
