The single room is only suitable for a child, and can only be rented with Room 2. It is currently unlisted but available on request. Children are very welcome and we have toys and equipment for all ages included in the per night room charge. There is ample carparking in the driveway and the bus stop is 5 mins walk from the house with a regular service to Woking town centre, the station and to the surrounding area. It's a perfect base for you as you visit the south-east of England or the theatres and museums of London, with trains taking 28 minutes to Waterloo Station. If you are here on a business trip, we have wifi throughout the house so it's easy for you to keep in touch with colleagues, family and friends and you can use the internet or the printer at any time. Most of our rooms have desks, or you can use the desk in the living room or in the study so even on holiday you can stay connected. We are near the motorway network making it easy to get to Windsor Castle, Hampton Court Palace, Wisley Gardens, Brooklands Motor Museum, Wimbledon for the tennis and Henley for boating, just to name a few places well worth a visit. Heathrow and Gatwick airports are 45 minutes drive away from the house, and there are regular bus and train services from both airports to Woking, our nearest town. The coast is an hour's drive away. Woking Golf Club is within walking distance, and the house adjoins the local Anglican Church. Places of worship for all the main religions are also nearby. One bedroom is on the ground floor and has wheelchair access. There is a large living room and a separate dining room, 4 acres of secluded gardens to walk in, and a terrace complete with barbecue for less formal occasions. We have wifi throughout the house so you can keep in touch with family and friends and use the internet at any time for work or entertainment. The village is 5 minutes walk away and boasts a good range of restaurants, shops, hairdressers and beauty salons. There is a regular bus service to the nearby town and the railway station. The nearest towns are Guildford and Woking and between them they offer great shops, ice skating, bowling, swimming, theatres and cinema and much more. We speak French and German and a little Italian, and can normally have a stab at other languages to aid communication. We also have two young and very friendly Labradors girls whom we have recently re-homed. They are energetic but very good with children. We are looking forward very much to meeting you and to helping you to have a wonderful holiday in the south-east of England, or if you are coming on a business trip, what better place to return to after a busy working day! If you need any more information, please get in touch with us. We can arrange airport pickups from Heathrow and Gatwick or can message you chauffeur / taxi numbers for you to make your own arrangements. Patricia and Colin Howard Our guests have access to the whole of the downstairs of the house including use of the kitchen and laundry machines, the living room, the snug with TV and desk and wifi, and comfy chairs to chill in. The garden and terrace are available for all to enjoy. We interact with our guests as much as they wish. We love meeting new people and getting to know them, but we completely respect their right to privacy if they prefer it. The snug is theirs if they wish to be alone to work, read or watch TV or they are welcome to join us in the main living room for a chat or to watch TV and to sit and read by the fire. We love the peace and the green space all around our home and we hope that our guests will enjoy the same! There are many lovely walks near the house, and the local towns offer good theatres and cinemas, great restaurants and shops, and of course London is only a half hour train journey away. There is a bus service within 5 minutes' walk of the house, and the regular service goes in all directions around the area, including to Woking station where the trains leave every few minutes for London and the south coast. Alternatively, a 20-30 minute walk (depending on the speed at which you walk!) along the canal towpath will take you into the centre of the town. There is so much to see and to do in the area, please ask us for any information that you require and we will be delighted to help you make the most of your stay with us. There is a file in your room with details about the house and the area, including a list of local restaurants and takeaways. If we've forgotten anything, ask away.
