'An Elizabethan Brewhouse with a warm and characterful feel’ A charming 17th Century family house that is conveniently located five miles South West of Lincoln. Set within yards of Doddington Hall, the Elizabethan Brewhouse is the original to the Hall itself and has an abundance of characterful features including stripped oak beams, low ceilings and an open log fire. The character of the cottage is complemented by stylish contemporary furnishings creating the perfect home from home environment for families, or a group of friends to enjoy a lovely break away. You can also explore all that Doddington has to offer and the beautiful and historical cathedral city of Lincoln. The Brewhouse sleeps up to 12 people, with two double rooms, one master bedroom with a large view out onto the lawns, and three twin rooms. There are two separate stairways with separate lounge areas, and a large fully equipped kitchen and dining space for all to enjoy. All on site accommodation overlooks farmland and have a lovely rural feel to them. The Brewhouse is a self-catering property with a fully equipped open kitchen, and a dining room and living area. Guests have access to all rooms, and the surrounding area to the accommodation and you are welcome to come and go as you please. You will be given your own key code and can access the cottage from your check in time. Guests will be provided with all information prior to their stay and a comprehensive folder is available in your cottage with all information you require for your stay. A welcome package with tea, coffee, eggs, milk, butter and a fresh loaf of bread awaits for your stay with us. However, we do also have a BBC Good Food Show Award-Winning Farm shop for you to buy all your necessities from which is open Monday – Saturday 9am – 5pm and Sunday – 10am – 5pm. Alternatively, if you don’t fancy cooking during your stay, we can book you into the Café or Restaurant for a Full English Breakfast and a wide variety of breakfast choices to choose from too. Doddington Estate has a much-loved family home, five acres of gardens and beautiful walks to explore simply on your doorstep. If that wasn't enough our shops are open daily and stock a wide range of beautiful products inspired both by our passion for local and seasonal produce and love of the finer things in our life. In addition to this Doddington Hall is only five miles from the beautiful and historic cathedral city of Lincoln, one of England's finest cathedral cities boasting magnificent heritage, an award winning steep hill and year round events and festivals. If pampering, shopping and fine dining are on your agenda you will be spoilt for choice, with fabulous shopping and delicious food and drink on your doorstep and within the local area. Those who love food will love tucking into Lincolnshire delicacies and families will enjoy the fun of all the nearby attractions, museums and exploring the great outdoors. Near by attractions include Hartsholme Country Park, the Doddington to Lincoln Cycling Route, Whisby Nature Park and Natural World Centre, Daisy Maid ice-cream, Burton Waters and Old-Farm Spa which offers quality spa treatments and a relaxing spa experience at an affordable price. Doddington Hall is situated on the outskirts of Lincoln, just five miles from the centre of the city. By car, Doddington Hall is five miles West of Lincoln on the B1190. It is signposted from the A46 Newark to Lincoln Road. It is also signposted from the A57 between the A1 and Lincoln. Doddington Hall has exclusive, complimentary parking. If you are travelling by train Doddington is 20 minutes from Newark Northgate and Lincoln stations, and 40 minutes from Retford station. If you arrive by train to Lincoln Central Station or Newark Northgate Station you can get to Doddington Hall by taxi and we can give you a recommendation of taxi numbers. By Bicycle Doddington has a new cycle track which links Doddington to Lincoln. The route was officially opened by Olympic Gold medallist Georgie Twigg MBE, and is named the Georgie Twigg Track. Why not come and try out the new track for yourself when you are here with our range of hire bikes and you can explore more of Lincoln and the surrounding areas. Whilst you are welcome to walk through all public areas surrounding your accommodation, please do be aware that Doddington Hall is still a working estate. In particular, for several weeks over the Christmas period, our Doddington Christmas Trees are for sale to the public in the Stable Yard situated outside the Tailor Rooms, Delaval Rooms and The Brewhouse. This is also the location for our Bauble Barn. This will therefore mean there will be a slightly higher level of noise during the day and a higher than normal influx of parking in this area of the estate during your stay. Christmas is a lively, busy and exciting time of year at Doddington with plenty of areas to explore, including a visit to the Hall and Gardens. We offer complimentary hall and gardens vouchers as part of your stay and we do hope the level of noise and influx of parking does not cause too much inconvenience during your stay.
