Living in history - Modern Country Cottage

The 1894 is carved into the stone over the door of our cosy cottage in the center of the old village across the street from the church. In reality, it is much older than that and was identified in the old village plans. After a complete renovation in 2012 the cottage is now modern country style - cosy but without Kitsch. It is the ideal starting point for your vacation in the Eifel region. - Ground floor: An open floor plan unites entry, kitchen, living and dining areas. The wood burner guarantees cosy evenings. Washer and dryer are located under the stairs. The kitchen is fully equpped with a dishwasher, stove, glass cook top, Fridge/freezer and a microwave. - First Floor: The modern bathroom with a shower is located here as well as a small bedroom with a pull out sofa and built-in closet. - Second Floor: The loft bedroom with an alkove bed, TV, desk and built-in closets. ON the gallery there is an additional single bed under the slopes.. Our guests have the exclusive access to all parts of the cottage. I don't live in our near the cottage, but will always be available for questions. Located in the "good lands" of the Southern Eifel, from our cottage you can discover the beautiful landscape, small villages, castles and monuments but visit fascinatig cities like Tier (35 min.) or Luxembourg (50 min.) as well. Bitburg is the closet lager town (15 min.) In the vilage you will find a bistro with a nice beergarden in front of the castle under the old buckeyes, two restaurants, a small supermarket, a bakery, a butcher and two banks with ATM. The nearest railway stations are located at Philippsheim (no taxi), 2.5 km. or Bitburg-Erdorf (6 km.) on the "Eifel-Express-Line (Trier - Cologne). Occasionally, there are public buses to Bitburg. Guests can park directly opposite of the cottage. There is a public parking lot in front of the castle as well, with a c. 100 meter footpath walk to the cottage. Another parking lot is located next to the church at c. 30 m. Plaese note: The church bell across the street rings hourly during daytime. The windows have no roller bilnds and the roof top windows can not be blinded.
