A great place for kids surrounded by lakes, fields, forests right at a natural reserve and the nature park Westhavelland. Ein jahrhundertealtes Haus in neuem, modernistischen Gewand. Das Fachwerk ist mit alten, natürlichen Materialien wie Lehm und Kalkputz restauriert. Hier lässt sich mit Familie oder Freunden eine schöne Zeit verbringen. -- A centuries-old house in a new and modernist make-over. The timber-framed construction ist restored with old and ecological materials like clay and lime plaster. A great place for a good time with friends close to nature and a country-life once lived. The whole house with court yard and little garden is accessible. There is official parking down the street at the bus station or on the other side on the street. Please leave the space in front of the neighbors door empty. I’m available on the phone for check-in and all other queries. If need be someone can usually come to the house shortly. Im kleinen Örtchen sind in alle Richtungen Spaziergänge und Wanderungen möglich. Immer wieder wird man auf Wasser treffen, die Gegend ist geprägt von Seen und der Havel mit ihren Badestränden. Im Ort gibt es mehrere Reiterhöfe, zu Fuß, zu Pferd oder mit dem Fahrrad - der Havelradwanderweg führt am Ort vorbei - oder auf dem Wasser gibt es in alle Richtungen viel zu entdecken. -- The village is a great starting point for walks and hikes in every direction. Everywhere you will reach water at some point, the area is characterised by lakes and the river Havel and it's beaches and boats. There are a few equestrian farms in the village, by foot, by horse, or by bike - the Havel Bike Trail is just running by - or on water, in every direction there is plenty to see. Der Ort hat eine Bahnstation mit stündlicher Anbindung nach Brandenburg/ Havel mit dem mittelalterlichen Stadtkern und dem Dom zu Brandenburg und nach Rathenow, das ebenso auf Inseln in der Havel gebaut ist und bereits prähistorisch besiedelt war. Beide Städte sind im Stundentakt an Berlin angebunden, so dass es leicht ist, ohne Auto anzureisen. Die Fahrzeit ist etwa 1,5h. Mit dem Auto ist man unerheblich schneller. Die Havel mit ihren ruhigen, verschlungenen und gewundenen Läufen prägt das Bild der Gegend, hier findet sich sich eine einmalige Tier- und Pflanzenwelt rund um das Wasser. -- There is a train station with hourly trains to Brandenburg/Havel with it's old city center and the medieval cathedral in one direction and Rathenow, which is also built on islands in the river Havel of pre-historic settlement to the other. Both cities have hourly connections to Berlin which make it easy to reach without car - a total of 1,5h of travel time. By car it's a bit faster. The river Havel with it's calm yet winding flows makes up the appearance of the area and is the habitat of amazing plants and animals around and in the water. Es gibt die Möglichkeit, ein Ruderboot für 4 Personen zu mieten. Es gibt Rewe und Penny eine Station mit der Bahn entfernt, die stündlich fährt und in der Zeit bekommt man den Einkauf auch gut hin. Direkt an der Station Görden. Ansonsten mit Auto die Straße nach Brandenburg kommt erst ein Lidl dann andere. Oder zu Fuß oder Rad oder Auto über die Brücke zu einem kleinen Tante Emma Laden in Pritzerbe. Außerdem gibt es in Fohrde selber Frank‘s Hofladen mit frischem Obst und Gemüse. Ganz in der Nähe ist auch das Fohrder Eck, ein Lokal mit kleiner Karte. There is a rowing boat for rent for 4 persons. There is Rewe and Penny supermarkets one stop away with the train directly at Görden Station with the train running every hour it’s just the right time for shopping. By car you have Lidl and others on your way to Brandenburg. By foot or bike or car there is a small store in Pritzerbe across the bridge. And for fresh fruits and vegetables right in Fohrde, there is Frank’s Hofladen. Also close is Fohrder Eck, a pub with a menu.
