The Chalet at Rosemary Cottage
Self contained chalet right on the BUSY High St of Northchurch , 2 minutes away from the Grand Union canal, half a mile from Berkhamsted, Tring & train stations. Shops across the road and lovely bakery/café next door. Not suitable for long stays!!! Not a place to come to for peace & tranquility: the High St is busy, especially so at rush hour. 0ur driveway is reserved for family use. Plenty of street parking available. The cottage is bijoux and perfect for a couple & a pet. Due to the spiral staircase leading to the sleeping loft being steep, I would say its not suitable for toddlers or very young children. There is a kettle but only a microwave oven in the kitchenette, so no major cooking possible. Our driveway is very busy with multiple cars using it daily, so that's why we ask you to park across the road where there should always be space. However if you have lots of loading/unloading to do from your car I can happily let you use our driveway by previous arrangement. I am very happy to help you in person, by phone, text or email during your stay. I am mostly here in person, but if not, will make sure to be contactable. Some guests come, enter themselves( having arranged that!) and we never meet: whatever suits you! Fish & Chip shop, Tesco Metro directly accross the road. Bon Soiree cafe just next door where you'll get a home cooked breakfast, lunch, pastries & good coffee: closed on Sundays. There are many other dining out options in Berkhamsted just down the road and lots of take aways too. If you are staying during weekdays, the High St can be noisy! It's a lot quieter on week ends. The chalet is great for short stays, for when you need a base whilst visiting the area or friends. Its not suitable for day in day out living or holing up in.
