1700's Character Cottage, Diss

The cottage is grade II listed and was built in 1768. It has the original oak beams and many other original features. It has a large garden with a summerhouse and seating area. The cottage is an ideal holiday location to explore East Anglia and its many attractions. It is nestled between Roydon Fen and the town of Diss, both are a short walk away. Roydon Fen is a 49 acre nature reserve. Check yourself in with the lockbox. The cottage is full of character so bear in mind there are some uneven floors and low ceilings which are part of the charm. There are many original features including a bread oven in the kitchen, unfortunately now no longer working. The cosy living room has a log burner, sofa and an armchair. There are 2 bedrooms and the second bedroom has the original wooden floorboards. The cottage has a large garden with a summerhouse, barbecue stand (for disposable barbecues only) and a seating area. The garden has a rural feel as next door to the cottage is a field of cows. The garden has many wildlife visitors including muntjac deer, pheasants and bats. The cottage is in a rural location but very close to the town and various supermarkets. The cottage is an ideal holiday location to explore Norfolk and Suffolk and their many attractions. Nearby there is Banham Zoo, the Camel Park Oasis and Bressingham Steam Museum. There are many other attractions within a drivable distance around Norfolk and Suffolk including The Broads, Africa Alive, Pleasurewood Hills, Bewilderwood, Pettitts Animal Adventure Park, Easton Farm Park, Norwich City and Great Yarmouth.
