Gatwick Airport is 20 minutes away, the Channel Tunnel is just over 1 hour away and two nearby train stations can take you to London in 30 to 40 mins. The Hidden Cottage is all on one level. Ideal to rent separately or if coming with friends and family ideal to rent together but have your own space when required. Ideal for brides and grooms to get ready for their wedding, or for a wedding night for time to relax after your big day and enjoy each others company in a peaceful setting. We wanted to share our beautiful home and land which to us is a special little piece of the "Garden of England". The Cottage is separate from the main house and located within a small corner wooded area , secluded from everything except nature set in our plot of 5 acres, an ideal place to relax and enjoy the countryside. It has its own private access to a footpath which leads to some wonderful walks around the area. We live on site and our is house some 300 metres away and we would be delighted to give you guidance on local places of interest, paths for beautiful walking any any planned trips and where to eat and drink. Otherwise you will be left to enjoy the cabin and the peaceful setting. The cottage is in Westerham, Kent, south of London. The town has been home to Sir Winston Churchill and General James Wolfe of Quebec. It's a vibrant market town with restaurants and shops. The area has miles of cycling paths through wooded hills. Lots of wonderful pubs and walks close by including one 2 min walk away! We are happy to help recommend! A car is advisable for your visit to us, however, there are local taxi companies and a bus stop 200 metres away. We are happy to pick up from the airport and stations if required for an additional cost. We welcome many birthday, engagement, bridal and even renewing of vow parties. We have a variety of packages for these occasions. We are happy to provide a welcome pack of breakfast essentials, we can also provide champagne/prosecco on arrival and even a freshly baked cake! All this and more can be arranged at a charge.
