Island get away. 18 m2 cozy guesthouse in the middle of the archipelago. Located on the outskirts of an old fishing village, nestled in the rocks itself between the roaring sea and the quite canal. Its close to the ocean and in between you find a landscape typical for the region, raw, beautiful and surreal. This is for people who would like to enjoy nature, hiking, kayaking, photographing, or sunbathing. We have made a special video over the area on youtube, type in "Grundsund Kvarneberg". The region has got 4 seasons: The summer: Warm, kind and light and the most popular. You can enjoy everything that has got to do with the water, swimming, sailing and eating shellfish. The fall: Kayaking and fishing, autumn colors and a seldom found calm. The Winter: Wet, raw, cold and dark but at the same time very cozy. Christmas time especially. This is a time to get away and get some work done. The spring: The returning light is penetrating, life returns. Still cold but beautiful as always. Easter time provides local traditions such as traditional "easterfires". Go to Vimeo and type in: "Påsk i Grundsund" for video The area also offers world class rock face climbing. Bohuslän is characterised by lots of small crags (around 100) situated in a beautiful location with lots of crack climbing on good quality granite rock - a trad climber’s paradise. The location of the crags is diverse with some being by the sea, in farmer’s fields, or on small hillsides. All of the crags have a short walk-in, and the routes are generally single pitch with the odd 2-pitch route to go at. The climbing at Bohuslän is varied, the rock quality is exceptional, and a good spread of grades to choose from.
