On street free parking. Inner-city multicultural /friendly community Good for solo adventurers and business travellers. Close to Peak District-beautiful walking country. On ground floor. Family home- not a hostel , sorry no guests The room is semi self contained. It has a shower, fridge, belfast sink, kettle, toaster, microwave and hot plate ( please note it is ideal for preparing basic meals but use of family kitchen is not permitted sorry) It has a 3/4 cast iron bed and cast iron fireplace. It is on the ground floor next to the family living room. Share of 2 toilets and use of washing machine (for guests staying a few nights or by arrangement) Use of front garden. This is not a travelogue - due to the antiques and vintage fabric etc the room looks old ,in a good way, it is clean but not in a sanitised hospital like manner I appreciate this is not for everyone If it’s not for you, please don’t book this space , I love my home and I’d rather not hear from people who haven’t read the brochure properly inferring that my home isn’t clean. It is , it’s just not a sanitised box front garden I know a lot about the area and am happy to offer suggestions and advice. Basically though, I will leave you to get on with your stuff in your private room. Innercity multicultural area of Sheffield- it's the poorer end of town. Very friendly- as Sheffield is. The house is 1.5 miles from Sheffield centre Great bus route. Sheffield is very hilly for cycling. It's a 30 minute walk into town (downhill) but a 45 minute walk back up! I live with my husband Tom and 2 children- they are grown up. My daughter is a dancer and away a lot , my son is disabled and has Personal Assistants with him some of the time. They stay overnight occasionally. We also have a permanent lodger who lives in the attic Please note that the room is next to the family living room This accommodation is very well suited to someone staying for 2 or 3 nights- someone who is active and busy with work or leisure. It's not suitable for someone who wants to hang out in the room 24/7 Please also- the most asked question we get is - is it ok for my friend to come and stay also. Sorry the answer is no.
