It was built in the 1940s along with other cabins and these were once used by folks coming from far and wide by train and by car for fishing, hunting and simply relaxing by the lake. Enjoy your meals or a fun chat on the lake-facing screened-in porch, which comes equipped with a convenient outdoor dining area and a gas grill. For more outdoor dining space you can use the picnic table in the yard. Inside, a full-size refrigerator and a cabin-size gas stove/oven will help you prepare amazing meals during your stay here and a convenient four-person table awaits right in the kitchen as well. In addition, there is a radiant heater for those nights when it gets just a little bit chilly. With two bedrooms and one full bathroom, this cabin is calling your name! In the area surrounding Turtle Point Outpost is the famous Turtle Flambeau Flowage, and it is a short two miles just down the road at Murray Landing boat launch. Grant Lake is good for relaxed casual fishing, most catches consist of panfish like Bluegill, Crappie, and Sunfish, though there is the occasional northern. If you're not into hunting and fishing, Grant Lake is perfect for lazy floating and other low-key water sports. Things to Know No driving on the lawn Full kitchen without a dishwasher (stove is smaller than standard size). There are two one-person sit on top kayaks, two paddle boards, and one canoe available for use. Please note that propane for the grill is not provided. Please bring one-pound cylinders for the grill. Private boat landing and two shared docks This property is managed by Vacasa Wisconsin LLC. Parking notes: Please do not park in the grass. When parking on the gravel driveway please be respectful of the neighbors. There are only 2 parking spots available per cabin (one vehicle with a boat or 2 vehicles).
