Miehlen is centrally located at the cities Koblenz / Deutsches Eck (30 km), Wiesbaden (35 km), Limburg (32 km), Ruedesheim / Drosselgasse (40 miles), Loreley (15 miles). Furthermore, the Limeskastell in Pohl (6 km) and in Holzhausen a. d. Haide (7 km) particularly worth seeing. In Miehlen is the birthplace of Schinderhannes and in Holzhausen the birthplace and museum of Nicolaus August Otto, the inventor of the gasoline engine.
