You can walk around alone or as part of a group, enjoying the village along with those of us who live and work here :) This part of the coastline is home to an abundance of bird life, fish, otters, whales, and dolphins. Pods of dolphins swimming past are an almost daily occurrence (did you know that Port Elizabeth is the bottlenose dolphin capital of the WORLD?) and a sight not to be missed. In the winter the bay is home to an ever increasing number of migrating Southern Right and Humpback whales, a truly spectacular sight! The migrating whales are passing right by our homes as part of a 12000km journey, which culminates in them returning with their calves. There are not many places on earth where you can view this beautiful migration, but in Seaview you can do it over breakfast :) The village of Seaview is located on the outskirts of Port Elizabeth, just a 12 minute drive from the edge of the city. Seaview is popular with locals and visitors alike due to its friendly and relaxed atmosphere, stunning views, and its proximity to 4 sandy, unspoilt beaches. Our location makes it a perfect fishing and snorkelling spot too. The swimming gullies are safe, and we can advise you on the best time to swim and explore.
