Welcome to Friars Lodge. A self contained, ground floor - recently renovated holiday home, located in the heart of Sherwood Forest in the historic village of Edwinstowe. Comfortably sleeps 4. Bike lock up and Wi-Fi available. Ample off road parking, close to local pubs, shops and attractions. We are located in the heart of Sherwood Forest in the historic village of Edwinstowe. Formerly known as a Bed and Breakfast, we have recently undergone renovations completed in 2016 of our annex. The annex is situated on the ground floor and is completely private with its own entrance, it is located at the rear of the main house which makes an ideal location for some peace and quiet. Discount given for guests staying for a week or more. We are pleased to offer two newly decorated bedrooms (one double bedroom and a twin bedroom) Two recently fitted bathrooms with complimentary toiletries and towels. A brand new fully functional kitchen with a comfortable lounge and dining area. The kitchen comes complete with kitchen essentials such as tea, coffee, sugar, milk, tea towels, washing up liquid. A full central heating system is installed which is controlled by you at no extra cost. There is also a private garden area for you to enjoy, which is complete with outside lighting and a seating area. There is a bike lock up and washing down area available along with ample off road parking suitable for a motor home or horse box. No pets allowed. Washing machine and tumble dryer is available to use during your stay. We have a travel cot and high chair available for use at no extra charge. If required please let us know. We also have many other baby items available for use to help make your stay more comfortable, eg: toys, books, blankets. Please ask if there is anything you need as we live in the main house and are happy to help. Complimentary Wi-Fi and Netflix is available throughout your stay. We are in a fantastic location in the village of Edwinstowe, which is home to Sherwood Forest and Robin Hood’s Major Oak tree. There are frequent buses into our local town of Mansfield and into the City of Nottingham. Some other bus routes include Ollerton, Newark, Clipstone, Kirton, Retford and Worksop. We live in the main house. One of us will be there to greet you upon your arrival. If for some reason we are not available to greet you, we have a key safe box and can give you the combination code to gain access. We know the area well and can give advice/tips/ answer any questions you might have.
