Charming 1 Bed Gite with views out to 12th Century Abbaye Blanch (The White Abbey) Attached to the main house but separated with it's own private entrance and fully enclosed terrace area. Fully equipped kitchen, separate shower and shower over bath, and downstairs toilet. The 1 bedroom has a large double bed. Set over 2 floors so not suitable for those who cannot do stairs, however there is a handrail all the way up for those that have limited mobility. Full access to all site facilities including Wi-Fi and fully enclosed walled gardens mainly laid to lawn. BBQ and Washing Facilities available. Secure indoor bike store. (Key on request) Minimum 2 night stay. Pet Friendly. If you would like to discover the area, cycling is possible in the surroundings and we offer free bikes to use. The surrounding grounds and local area are steapt in history including the famous battle of Mortain and soldiers right in the Avenue outside. The local village has a Tabac, Boulangerie (about to re-open) and L'Abbaye Hotel, with its amazing food, is just a few steps away from our front doors. In the local town of Mortain there are plenty of shops, boulangerie, restaurants and bars. Further afield (about an hours drive) is the famous Mont Saint Michel and there is plenty of opportunity for fishing, cycling and golfing available in the near vicinity. Le Mont Saint Michel is 26.1 miles from Le Moulin De La Porte, while Bagnoles de l'Orne is 24.9 miles from the property.
