Shepherds hut with a view on an Organic Dairy farm
Enjoy the view across the valley from our new shepherds hut. With wood burning stove, and insulation you'll be cosy whatever the weather. A kingsize double bed means you'll wake refreshed and ready to explore the farm, walk to a number of lovely country pubs or visit one of the historic castles nearby. There's a compost loo in the hut and shared access to the new wet room with shower and flush toilet, on the farm about 300m away. 'Daisy' shepherds hut sleeps up to two adults. There’s a kingsize double bed, with towels, sheets, pillows and duvets included. Your own fire pit BBQ is provided. As well as a cute mini kitchen in the hut with double gas burner for cooking, a sink and all the pans, cutlery and crockery you might need. A starter pack of wood for the stove and fire pit BBQ, matches, firelighters and kindling will be waiting for you. The hut itself is completely off grid. The solar panel charges the battery for the interior lights, and the lack of light pollution makes for exceptional star gazing, though do bring a torch! Bore Place, where the hut is located is an environmental charity and organic dairy farm, pioneering renewable energy and reconnection with the natural world and growing and cooking food. As a working farm there are various hazards - ponds, farm machinery etc. If you have children please make sure you supervise them. There’s your own private composting toilet in the hut and shared use of a wet room, with shower and flush toilet, on the farm about 300m away. For the brave there is access to a shared outdoor hot shower when the weather allows. As the hut is in a meadow, it’s not possible to drive cars right up to it. Cars can be parked in the centre carpark, just near the toilets and shower and your luggage rolled to the hut on our trolley. As it’s such beautiful place people are keen to get married in the main farmhouse about 300m away, contact me if you'd like to check specific dates. Smoking is allowed outside, but not in the hut itself. Come to Base Glamp, our outdoor self-service reception for your keys, phone charging and access to a shared fridge. There's full instructions for how everything works and where it all is, in your hut and I'll give you my mobile number in case you need anything during your stay.
