This unique, architecturally designed aluminium pod, provides a glamorous retreat. Nestling in a private woodland, overlooking a dew pond and the valley below, the space affords a kingsize bed, shower/wc, living area incorporating a 'galley' kitchen. Wood-burning stove, dining table and chairs and a sofa/ bunk bed. Please be advised that there are no curtains/blinds, in the accommodation or tv/wifi and limited mobile phone reception. Whether you are here to enjoy a relaxing break, in our amazing woodlands, or using The Airship, as a base to explore the surrounding attractions, we are sure you will enjoy your stay with us. The Airship is situated within the woodlands, one end overlooking a dew pond and the other end overlooking a meadow, we have woodland/countryside walks, bushcraft courses available on site, bbq area with barbecue, the communal smoking area and large fire bowl is situated to the right of the barn within a triangle of trees. The Blue Ship is an attractive, olde worlde pub close by, in The Haven accessed by the woodland footpaths which one is permitted to explore. However, please do not trespass within the private accommodations/residences/buildings etc on site E.G The bus, barn, cabins, sheds and toilet block. The outside toilet block is permanently out of service. The airship has it’s own private shower, toilet, etc inside the accommodation. Please note that we do not accept children, under 12 years of age in this accommodation. Please be aware of the resident pets roaming the woods. Sydney the Carpathian sheepdog. Didge and Duster the terriers. Bisbee the black cat and Little Dave the black and white cat. The Hobs… important information!!!! To use the bobs, one must place a pan on the ring as they are conductive and as a safety feature, only work when a pan is placed on them. They are not broken, or unusable! If they do not come on, check that they are turned on at the plug under the counter. The magical woodlands are spectacular, with walks, also leading off to public footpaths, perfect for relaxing, interacting with nature, and exploring/rambling or cycling along the 'downs link'. This accommodation is unsuitable for children under 12 years of age or those with mobility issues. IMPORTANT NOTICE Please note that in high season( April to October) it is advisable to take precautions against ticks. We recommend that guests wear long trousers, socks and walking boots within the woodland. Keep to the footpaths and do not walk, bare legged, wearing sandals, or casual footwear, through the long grass or bracken etc. One can buy tick repellent products from most pharmacies or online. If you do find a tick on your person, remove with tweezers and seek medical advice. Rudgwick Medical centre tel: (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) Keep the tick to show to the medical advisor. Please note that the woodland staff are not permitted to remove ticks from guests. We have friendly staff members on hand should you require assistance. We are here to help and should you wish to interact on a bushcraft course we can arrange this. VERY IMPORTANT: Please be aware that due to COVID-19 precautions, we are unable to provide maps, games, books etc as we used to and there are limited provisions due to guests sharing of these items. We apologise for the inconvenience and suggest guests bring their own games, books, maps etc until such restrictions are lifted. Please also note that we cannot accept ‘gifted bookings’ We’ll only accept bookings from Airbnb members and expect those who booked to stay in the accommodation. OPTIONAL: - Woodland Skills taster session (2hrs) £20 per person. - Woodland skills full day (6-8hrs) £50 per person. Course varies at your request as you may choose any or all of the following: foraging, string/rope making from plants, coppicing, woodland management, history of the woodland, flora and fauna identification, making fire, flint knapping, making thumb sticks/digging sticks, forge work, jewellery making and much more. With our resident instructor, Clive. Please ask for more information, if interested. Also, please use our recycling facilities (to the left of the barn) as we try to be an eco friendly establishment. Please use the bins provided and dispose of your waste responsibly, when leaving the accommodation. We provide enough wood, kindling, matches, fire lighters, for the duration of your stay. Extra supplies can be purchased on site Please contact a staff member. We do not provide charcoal, one may use the logs provided on the bbq or communal bbq area near barn. Extra logs and charcoal can be purchased from Austen’s Hardware Store, Mole Valley Farmers, Billingshurst or Five Oaks Garage/Sparshop
