Beautiful Hertfordshire Country House
A bright and cosy house in a small village near Hertford, with private parking. Idillic countryside setting with plenty of local pubs and walks. Hertford is 10 mins away by car. Central London is 45 mins away by car and public transport. The nearest stations are Bayford, Cuffley and Potters Bar. All of which have parking. Beautifully presented end of terrace house. Sleeps 5 adults cosily or 3 adults very comfortably. Best suited for family’s or couples. The village shop is right next door selling everything you’ll need from homemade pastries and cakes to all household items. The local pub is right across the road and serves a great Sunday roast. The house overlooks a beautiful cricket green and is surrounded by plenty of trails and walking routes, Northaw Great Wood being one of my favourites. There is room in the private, off street car park for one vehicle. I can be as interactive or hands off as you like. I am fairly local and if my schedule permits, would be more than happy to meet guests on arrival and show you around. The house is set in a very small village, surrounded but gorgeous houses and countryside. The village itself has 2 pubs and a village shop. Five Horseshoes, directly opposite the house does a great Sunday roast. Alternatively The Beehive (about a 10 min walk, or 2 min drive) is renowned locally for its fish and seafood dishes. There are many walking a cycling trails nearby. Hertford is a 10 min drive away and is a thriving, picturesque town. Plenty of bars, restaurants and the odd club. There is also a small, local theatre. Paradise Wildlife Park is a 5 min drive away, and is a great day out for the kids. Also Stanborough Lakes is very close, around 15 mins by car and is great for all water sports and outdoor activities. Willows Activity Farm, featuring Peter Rabbit and friends is also near by and great for younger children. There’s 3 great golf clubs in the area all within a 10 min drive. Central London can be reached within the hour by a short drive to many of the local train stations, or by car directly. Public transport from the village is pretty much non existent, I would highly recommend a car if you plan on exploring anywhere locally that’s out of walking distance. There are plenty of public transport options to lots of destinations but all of which are a short drive away. The house comes with one off street parking space and there is plenty of free on street parking available. All the neighbours are incredibly friendly and helpful.
