Enjoy a quiet country getaway only 75 minutes from Manhattan. This unique guest apartment is situated on a wooded property that offers solitude but is only a 5-minute drive from the quaint town of Montgomery. The home has a large living room with high ceilings, a wrap-around deck that overlooks a private backyard and patio area, and a full kitchen. After dinner, you can enjoy a nice walk around the pond, with snowshoes in the winter, if you wish. The apartment is extremely spacious, clean, and bright. Take a stroll by the pond with a book and relax by the swing as you listen to nature and escape. In the afternoon grab a blanket and picnic on our spacious lawn. Grab a drink in the evening on your deck and watch the deer or the stars as the night falls. The apartment offers a queen-size bed, full bath, and kitchen. Put away your phone and recharge. Enjoy a cup of tea or champagne while listening to nature. The apartment is extremely spacious, clean, and bright. The vaulted ceiling and open living room/dining room/kitchen add to the sense of spaciousness. The bedroom has a queen-sized bed, and the pull-out sofa in the living room sleeps 2 additional guests. Sit and sip a drink on the wrap-around deck as you watch the deer nibble, and the stars rise as the sunsets. Access code available. You let yourself in when you show up. Parking on the property We live in the house on the property but, it is unlikely you will see unless it snows and we need to clear the snow. The property is large enough that you have privacy. You can take a nature walk on our property located outside the village of Montgomery, or visit the charming village with lots of great local dining options. We are a 7-minute drive to City Winery, where you can enjoy dinner and wine tasting and on occasion live music, Or take a drive to Angry Orchid (11 minutes from the house), enjoy music, hard cider, sunsets, and a tour of the distillery. Coming with children? We are only 20 minutes from Legoland in Goshen. Fall in love with New York State. Take a look at our guest book to see more activities to enjoy. We are near Minnewaska State Park (26 minutes from the house), Brotherhood Winery (23 minutes), Storm King Art Center (27 minutes), Hudson attractions including, Walkway over the Hudson State Historic Park (45 minutes from the house) and so much more. Come discover the Hudson Valley, and see that there is so much to do just right outside your backyard. The apartment is about 200 feet from the main house on the other side of the driveway. The apartment’s windows and the deck all face away from the main house for greater privacy. If you bring children when there is snow, they will love sledding on the nearby hills. Or take them to Legoland, which is only 15 minutes away. Or in our backyard. We don't control Mother Nature, the house is in the country. Please be aware the driveway and parking area is plowed in the winter, we recommend all Wheel Drive during the snow/ice season. Walkway and driveway can be slippery during inclement winter weather. We do not allow large parties or additional guests. No portable hot tubs are allowed.
